Dr. Robert Sharobiem placed in the top five percent of his class when he received his PhD in dental surgery from UCLA in 2009. After winning the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident of the Year award at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York, he was granted a General Dental Practice Residency Certificate. While earning his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Certificate at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, he also received extra training in reconstruction, mouth surgery, and face trauma. His accomplishments include being one of the founders of the UCLA Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Study Club, being the director of the UCLA/USC Mobile Dental Clinic, and being certified by the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
For Dr. Sharobiem, giving back to the community is very important. He has traveled to Guatemala, Haiti, and Mexico on dental mission missions to help people experiencing poverty. For his generosity, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons awarded Dr. Sharobiem the 2013 Humanitarian Award for Residents.
Dr. Sharobiem enjoys spending time with his niece and nephew, who are both wonderful. In his own time, he likes to read, solve crossword puzzles, travel, hike, play basketball, bowl, try new foods, volunteer at church, and participate in medical missions abroad.
